Cambrian International Academy hooks up with Coach Tom Miller
Coach Tom Miller played 3 sports at the University of Louisiana-Monroe, including being an all-conference selection in golf in 1967. He was elected to their Athletic Hall of Fame in 1983. In 2000, Tom was selected by Birmingham-Southern College (BSC) to start its NCAA Division I men’s and women’s golf programs. At BSC, he was named 2003 Women’s National Coach of the Year for Independent Colleges and Universities. His men’s and women’s teams produced numerous tournament victories and individual medalists’ awards, including three all-conference players, two NCAA Division I All-America Scholars, one ESPN Academic All-American and one Big South Conference Freshman of the Year.
Tom has traveled all over the country watching and recruiting college golfers and is an invaluable resource to students aspiring to college golf.
He has now moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and, through collegegolf101.com, is helping high school students realize their dream of college golf. He is connecting with high end private schools such as Cambrian International Academy to make their sports advisory programs complete.
College sports and the recruiting process that comes with them have become outrageously competitive. Yet there remain opportunities for students who take a unique approach to getting noticed early on. Finding a high school that will support students in a unique approach is critical to securing the best opportunities in college sports.
Search High School Golf Programs to learn more—and remember to ask about how well their academic departments work with their sports departments to ensure you get the best of both worlds. Your golf scholaship opportunities may depend on it.
