Industrial Music Meets Recovery Help In a Surprising Way
Industrial music has nearly always been darker, more negative, however this has been evolving. There is this really cool recovery music I came across by Matt Soren the other day that has a fresh angle on industrial music. His album is a mix of industrial rock and the concept of overcoming addiction.
There are some song previews at his site at www.returnfrombroken.com. It sounds like they are raw versions while wrapping up mastered tracks. They sound professional to me but I am no audiophile. It is cool to see more music like this written directly for addiction recovery in a more entertaining way from a person that has been there and is making a difference for others in addiction. Also It’s nice to have this type of synth-rock stemming from the industrial genre which is usually more negative in nature. Nice!
By the way, he has free songs you can get from his site and more in his members area which is free. I also saw discount passes, album art, and other things it looks like he’ll be adding.
